TAPA Students Shine in Stars of Tomorrow Vocal Competition
Santa Margarita Catholic High School’s Talon Academy of Performing Arts (TAPA) is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of its Vocal Performance majors in the prestigious Stars of Tomorrow vocal competition. Three of the 10 finalists selected across Orange County are from SMCHS/TAPA.
Congratulations to Isabel Calvo ‘26, Erin Meihaus '26, and Jasmine Ortiz '26, who have each earned finalist spots after being evaluated by a panel of professional judges. Their selection places them in contention for top honors, with scholarships awarded as follows: $1,000 for 1st place, $750 for 2nd and $500 for 3rd.
Stars of Tomorrow offers a unique platform for aspiring high school vocalists to showcase their talent and compete for scholarships that support their future in the performing arts. This year, students submitted video auditions, from which 10 finalists per category, Classical and Musical Theatre, were selected. A minimum of $4,500 in prize money will be awarded.
The competition is judged by an esteemed panel of professional musicians, performers and music educators who contribute their time and expertise to foster the next generation of vocal talent.
