Kevin Brown bumps up to heavyweight to help Santa Margarita Wrestling win the dual meet against San Juan Hills.
Santa Margarita Wrestling defeated San Juan Hills 33-30 in a dual meet on Friday.
Most notably, Santa Margarita was trailing 27-30 until Kevin Brown bumped up mid-dual to wrestle from 215 to 285 to pin the San Juan Hills heavyweight in the first period to help Santa Margarita win the dual meet 33-30.
Individually, Cameron Brown (132 lbs.) won by a 9-3 decision, Hunter Artim (150 lbs.) won by fall in the first period, Shane Linehan (165 lbs.) won by fall in the second period, Jack Clemons (190 lbs.) won by forfeit, and Kevin Brown (285 lbs.) won by fall in the first period.
Santa Margarita Wrestling, now 4-2 in the season, will prepare for their very-first home dual meet Thursday night against Rancho Buena Vista. Santa Margarita has not hosted a wrestling dual meet at home in nearly a decade.
